What should be well understood is that at the heart of Screen Scraper Studio there is a powerful software library that offers scraping and automation API. This software library (the client runtime) should be deployed with your scripts or apps.

To simplify the programming job of using the API, Screen Scraper Studio offers a collection of wizards where you can visually define the scraping & automation scenarios and generate code in the programming language you are using.

Quick start

Make sure you have watched our online video introduction or you can watch on our website here.

We suggest you start by creating your "Hello world" script with SSS: start Studio, choose screen scraping of a window wizard, select a notepad, play with the scraping options and generate an automation script that copy the text from notepad to clipboard. Open the generated javascript file to get a basic understanding of the anatomy of calling our API.
